The Labrador Retriever is a breed of dog that originated in Newfoundland, Canada. Its name comes from the French word loupgarou, which means “spook” or “ghost”. Like many other breeds of dogs they are typically named by their physical characteristics such as size and coat patterns (for example Black Russian Terrier).
You may have a small labrador. The “dwarf labrador” is a term that refers to the size of a labrador in comparison to other breeds.
The Labrador retriever is a small breed of dog. They are typically between 22 and 27 inches tall and weigh 55 to 80 pounds. Labs can come in many different colors, but the most common ones are chocolate, yellow, black, red, or liver. Reference: miniature labrador size.
